Richard was a devoted Timberville Police Officer for 37 years and the police chief for 20 of those years. He received many recognitions and awards during his career. He loved Nascar, Antique cars and Music. He was a member of the Singers Glen Baptist Church. Richard is survived by a companion of 40 years, Juanita Price, of Timberville.
